A solid fuel appliance can make a great addition to any living space. Whether it be of traditional or contemporary appearance, stoves are once again becoming ever popular and make a beautiful focal point in any room.

With the consistent pressure in protecting our environment there has been a lot of speculation and misleading information regarding the use of solid fuel appliances and the harmful effect that they are believed to place upon the environment. 

With the Ecodesign regulations introduced in January 2022 one of the most common questions that we get asked is 'can I still use my log burner?'. The answer is yes.

Unlike many of the headlines and media have and will continue to portray you can continue to use and more importantly have a new appliance installed providing the newly installed appliance is Ecodesign ready. This means that the appliance has been tested to show that it meets minimum 'seasonal efficiency' standards and maximum emission limits.
