A test that you may require in order to check your chimney isn't leaking dangerous Carbon Monoxide fumes into either yours or your neighbours property.

Once swept, for solid fuel appliances the chimney is blocked at the top and filled with smoke whilst a gas appliance flue remains unblocked. A check by sight and smell is then carried out for any evidence in every room that the flue runs through, usually the bedroom and loft space, and any adjoining property.

A two part Certificate of Smoke testing is then issued. During the test we carry out a CCTV inspection to assist in any diagnostics. Any findings are then detailed on the certificate.
